In all honesty, I did not like dodging and burning and I saw no improvement in my photos. I would rather leave them natural.
I did not enjoy the process because it was difficult to understand and did not make my images better.
I would not use this process again, I do not like it.
To improve the original shot in this picture, I burned the tree to create better contrast in the image. I dodged for 3 seconds out of a 12 second period.
